Rocking through the ages: Aerosmith
After the announcement of an Aerosmith reunion tour set to start June 2012, I think it’s safe to say that Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer will continue to rock us through the ages. The guys have just about finished their much-anticipated next album, due out sometime this month, and are also juggling side projects to boot. The Village was thrilled to host Joe Perry in Studio B while he was working on the score for the upcoming G.I Joe film, “G.I Joe: Retaliation” in theaters 2013. Scott Smith engineered and Jeff Gartenbaum assisted on the session.
Aerosmith’s music has stood the test of time, and their influence on rock music continues to inspire generations of fans. Their energetic performances and memorable songs are a big part of what makes classic rock so special. What a great snapshot of the band. Aerosmith heading out on a reunion tour while Joe Perry was in Studio B working on a film score says everything about their work ethic. They really do keep rocking through the ages. Thanks from fnf

Pretty cool that Joe Perry is still working on film scores like G.I Joe: Retaliation while the band's back on tour. I actually use an ab repeat tool to loop youtube video sections when I'm practicing guitar riffs from their albums-it helps me nail those start and end points without constantly scrubbing.
